The former “Dancing With the Stars” pro welcomed her baby girl into the world when she announced she gave birth on May 3, 2023.
“Baby girl is here, and we are so in love,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself, her husband, and their newborn. “Mama and baby are doing well, and we are enjoying every minute with our piece of Heaven ? thank you for all the love we will share soon ?.”
Now, she has announced her baby girl’s name in a new Instagram post. “June Cusick ? 5/3/23. 5 lbs 7 oz,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Our sweet little girl joined our family on May 3rd in the afternoon, and we’ve been on cloud nine since ?,” she began to explain before adding, “The contractions started for me early that morning at 38 weeks five days gestation (only one days earlier than when I went into labor with Sage) the contractions started strong but then in the late morning it slowed down a bit.”
Arnold said he went for a walk, took his first child, Sage, to dance class, and then did some last-minute work, all while on contract every 25 minutes. Later that evening, the contractions increased, so she called her husband, Sam, who rushed home.
“I called Sam, and he raced home from work. We dropped Sage off at my parent’s house and headed to the hospital! When I got there, the contractions were consistently two minutes apart and VERY intense,” she wrote.

Now the mother of two explained why she had a C-section with June, writing, “They checked my dilation and I was at 4cm, checked baby girl’s position and she was still breech (been breech since 30 weeks), so they called my doctor, and he said it was time to get the baby girl out and move forward with the ac part.”
He then revealed June came out with her bottom first, explaining she could watch most of the delivery through the plastic curtain, which she couldn’t see with her first child, Sage.
“When it came time for her head to come out, that’s when we could see that the cord was wrapped around the baby girl’s neck,” Arnold wrote, explaining why she was breech. “It was hard for them to pull his head out, and the cord was compressing around his neck as they pulled. When they finally got her head out, they quickly untied it, and it wrapped around our sweet girl’s neck six times. An awesome and shocking moment for everyone in the room,” he continued to explain on Instagram.
“They quickly and effectively worked to get the baby girl breathing and alert, which took several minutes… those minutes felt like forever, but we were very lucky that the baby girl came and started breathing on her own,” he added.
Both Lindsay Arnold and June are happy and healthy. Congratulations to the Cusick Family.
