Elderly Palestinian takes Hamas to task in Al Jazeera interview for taking aid from civilians in Gaza

An elderly Palestinian woman took Hamas to task for hiding international aid for desperate civilians during an interview with Al Jazeera in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to a DC-based media research institute.

The unidentified woman condemned the terrorist group that controls Gaza, apparently unfazed by the possible consequences, as she spoke openly to reporters for the Qatar-backed station with others standing around her, according to footage and translations shared by the Middle East Media Research Institute. .

The clip provided by MEMRI begins with the interviewer asking the women about the lack of food or water in the area. He then stressed the difficult situation without help coming. That caused the woman to blow up Hamas.

“All the aid goes to the (tunnel) underground, it doesn’t reach the people,” he said.

The video then cuts again as the woman repeats how the aid is meant for the public.

“I am not afraid (of Hamas). I talked to them too. All aid reaches the Gaza Strip and,” he said before reporters cut him off, according to a clip translated by MEMRI.

“A lot of help came. It is being distributed. This is what they say,” the reporter said, but the woman just started wagging her fingers.

“Hamas brought everything to their house,” he said, adding they could “shoot me, or do whatever they want to me.”

The interviewer then pulled the microphone back, saying that the situation was unclear, according to MEMRI.
