The scandal hit in 2020 and literally kicked the show’s “Be Kind” motto off its feet.
A number of anonymous employees have come forward and accused ‘The Ellen Show’ of allowing a culture of “racism, fear and intimidation” on set.
As you can imagine, accusations of a toxic workplace spread like wildfire on the internet and many came after tWitch for standing by Ellen DeGeneres.
“People are looking at her like, ‘Why are you still supporting this woman’,” Hall said “and I think she’s under a lot of pressure.”

While Hall isn’t positive this was the only reason tWitch chose to take her own life, she believes it could have contributed to her friend’s state of mind in the months leading up to her death.
tWitch died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head last month.
“I don’t know what happened in his life that is possible [have led] he made that decision but i understand. Now when I’m online some days like I am now, if I’m in the wrong position where this abuse is going to go on for years and years, there’s only so much a human can take,” Hall admitted.

In the past, Hall has been accused of not paying his backup dancers and being very rude in person.
Todrick Hall Admits Online Hatred Is Hard on Mental Health
A friend of Taylor Swift took to Twitter and shared a multi-page handwritten note.
“Dear Friends, Family and Fans, Tonight my new show is part of the premiere of ‘The Real Friends of WeHo’ on MTV. This is very bittersweet for me because while I am very proud of the work we all do, I have to mentally prepare myself for the barrage of senseless hate that comes my way,” the note begins. “It’s so hard to stay grounded and remember that most people say hate Don’t know me personally or see me as a person.”
Todrick addressed the queer community in a lengthy letter shared to social media:
“When our LGBTQ+ plans were announced, you’d think any pushback would come from the church or conservatives. But a closer look will show you that the call is coming from inside the house.” pic.twitter.com/FnrLshSuOm

His note goes on to touch on mental health and the toll being a celebrity can take on a person’s mental health.
“Being queer is still hard, even in 2023, and trying to be a public figure in this space adds even more difficulty. Mental health is a very real thing, even for celebrities,” she explained. “I love my dancers, I’m just a dancer all the way my career until 2010. I have never NOT paid a dancer I promised payment to… EVER!”

Since Hall has an extensive background in dancing like tWtich, the two have collaborated several times on TikTok.
“He was just someone who always supported me. He is also nice and down to earth. He came over to my house a few times and we shot TikTok videos together,” Hall said of his friend.
