Samantha Berg, while giving birth to Elliot, suffered an amniotic fluid embolism that left her in a coma from which she never recovered. In 2006, Daily Mail reported that Samantha survived, and remained in what her parents described as a ‘waking coma’, able to hear and feel her surroundings but unable to speak.
He died in November 1993.
