Singer Grimes is suing Elon Musk for allegedly keeping her away from their child and trying to break up her “family”.
She previously screamed on social media that Musk had refused her to see their son Techno Mechanicus. The couple, who share three children, have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2018.
The Canadian singer compared her relationship with Musk to a “really good internship” earlier this year. However, Grimes revealed later that they had broken up again.

Grimes made a court filing against her multi-billionaire ex-partner after he allegedly refused to allow her to see their son, Techno. On September 29, the singer wrote a “petition to establish a parental relationship” after several attempts to contact Musk.
The petition has been used in the past to identify parents of children and provide space to file cases related to child custody.
While Tesla’s CEO has yet to respond, Grimes has called him out publicly on the matter. According to L.A. Timesthe 35-year-old discussed the dynamics of his relationship with Musk during a Vanity Fair interview.
In the same interview, she announced the birth of their second child, Exa Dark Soderæl Musk, and claimed that she and the billionaire were still in love. Grimes says, “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid.”
He added, “We live in separate houses. We are best friend. We see each other all the time. … We just have our own thing, and I don’t expect anyone else to understand.”
Grimes and Musk, who were first romantically linked in 2018, have now officially split, as announced on her X page earlier this year.
Grimes Screams On Social Media Over Her Inability To See Her Son

Although Grimes has yet to ask for custody of Techno, she recently screamed on social media for help getting a chance to see her son. She called out Musk for keeping their son away from her and asked Shivon Zilis, with whom Musk shares twins, to unblock him.
In a now-deleted tweet referring to the 52-year-old and Zilis, Grimes said, “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or please fire my lawyer.”
She added that the billionaire turned a deaf ear to her requests to see their children. “I have never been allowed to see a picture of this child until now, even though it has really torn my family apart,” Grimes said.
While it’s unclear why he tagged Zilis, the venture capitalist who works for Musk is rumored to have been romantically linked to him in the past.
At the time, Zilis explained through a biography titled “Elon Musk” that he had never met him. However, they have yet to reveal whether they are romantically involved since Grimes split from Musk.
Elon Musk Talks About Having Children

Musk talked about his desire to have children after a recent meeting. The CEO of SpaceX met with the President of Hungary, Katalin Novák, to discuss issues related to world stability. This comes after he missed the Budapest Summit which was meant to discuss population decline and collapse.
After the meeting, Musk used his newly revamped social media platform to tweet about his love for children.
The father of 11 wrote, “Having children saves the world.” Musk also has several other tweets in support of giving birth and caring for children.
Grimes Defends Her Son’s Name

Before Grimes’ outburst about seeing her children, she publicly defended her and Musk’s son. The child’s first name was changed from X Æ A-12 to 12 in Roman Numerals for legal reasons. Before the change, people criticized the duo’s eccentric choice of name for their child.
Grimes defended X’s name again, saying how “cool” it was. The Canadian singer took issue with a recent post that called out the name choice and said that it was “weird” to criticize the name.
He added that his and Musk’s choice was similar to other parents with “weird” names for their children.
“He likes his name and most people think it’s good. X men and others. X is popular at school lol.” Opting to keep her friends’ identities out of the picture, Grimes noted that she knows quite a few people who also give their kids “cool” names. He says, “Most millennials name their kids weird names — not just me.”
