Elvis Presley’s iconic “Lion Claw” necklace is expected to get a lot of makeovers when it hits the online auction block next month.
The custom diamond, gold and ruby encrusted chain – dubbed the “Holy Grail” of Presley jewelry – was recently listed for sale at the Gotta Have Rock and Roll online auction, which runs until December 15.
Although the necklace is listed with a minimum bid of $350,000, experts expect it to fetch as much as $1 million.
“The number of photos in which Elvis can be seen wearing this necklace is staggering, he wore it throughout his daily life, on and off stage,” the auctioneer wrote in the listing.
The King of Rock and Roll was photographed more than 100 times wearing the necklace, including at 30 concerts, his daughter Lisa Marie’s 5th birthday party and on a date with longtime girlfriend Linda Thompson.
He even wore it during his iconic encounter with boxer Muhammad Ali — where the two, both wearing Elvis robes, pumped fists in Presley’s dressing room after a Las Vegas concert.

“Arguably the most iconic picture of Elvis Presley, he can be seen wearing this exact Lion Claw Necklace,” the auctioneer said.
After Presley’s death in August 1977, his precious jewelry was put on display at the Elvis Presley Museum at Graceland.
It enjoyed a brief residency with Jimmy Velvet, who has been called “The Godfather of memorabilia,” according to the website.

The necklace is the latest in a series of the “Jailhouse Rock” singer’s treasures to be auctioned in recent years.
His beloved Smith & Wesson Model 53 revolver was auctioned in August for $199,750 — more than double what the auctioneer expected it to sell for.
The gun – which was given to Presley by a mystery friend nine months before his death – went on sale just 10 days after the anniversary of the rock legend’s death.

Last December, the “Can’t Help Falling in Love” singer’s worn-out private jet sold for $260,000.
Presley bought the plane, which had sat unused for four decades, the year before he died for $840,000.
