Rapper Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, recently revealed that he and Snoop Dogg ended their long feud after a health scare by Dr. Dre last year. The duo began feuding in 2000 after Eminem released his song, “B-tch Please II.”
Eminem said the beef between them was mainly a result of miscommunication. While trying to deliver a message about the musical collaboration, Snoop apparently heard a misinterpreted version and assumed it meant the “Slim Shady” rapper didn’t “f–k” him.

Eminem And Snoop Dogg’s Feud Began In 2000
Eminem joined Paul Rosenberg, his longtime manager on SiriusXM’s “Paul Pod: Curtain Call 2,” and explained what led to his previous issues with Snoop Dogg. The artist revealed that they are now doing well after Dr Dre was hospitalized earlier last year.

The decades-long beef dates back to 2000 after Snoop joined Eminem’s “Bitch Please II.” The song was released that year and also featured Dr. Dre on it. The rapper recalled, “I think there was a miscommunication at the time about him being on my album ‘The Mathers LP,’ ‘B-tch Please II.’
“I think he wanted to do something with me and maybe give you an idea or something, and you just said something to the effect of, ‘Let’s hear the song first. Let’s hear what kind of song it is,'” Eminem told Rosenberg.
Famous Rappers Settle Their Feuds
The rapper revealed that the message got lost at some point, and Snoop received a different message than what was originally sent. “And I think he said the way he took it was the way I didn’t like him. That I’m not dating him,” Eminem revealed.

His manager, Rosenberg, agreed, revealing that he did not remember talking to Snoop; however, he may have spoken to others on the 50-year-old’s team. “And whatever I said was relayed back to him in a way that he didn’t like, and he thought that meant you weren’t dating him,” the host said. “Obviously not the case.”
The two rappers finally talked it out last year after Dre was hospitalized and are back on good terms with each other. Eminem recalled, “We were like, bro, this is stupid. This is stupid to be fighting right now. So I don’t remember if I called him, or he called me, I don’t remember, but we talked about it.” The “Lose Yourself” artist also revealed that “Doggystyle,” Snoop’s 1993 album changed his life.
Dr. Dre Admitted to Hospital
Dr. Dre suffered a health scare in January last year and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital Los Angeles. The producer reportedly suffered a brain aneurysm but received treatment while in hospital and assured his fans that he was on the mend soon after.
Dre’s Instagram post later read, “Thank you to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I am doing the best I can and am getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and home soon. Shout out to all the wonderful medical professionals at Cedars. One love!!”
The 57-year-old spoke about the incident during his interview with The Los Angeles Times last year, revealed that he has always taken care of his health, so the scare came as a surprise to him. He said, “It is a very strange thing. I have never had high blood pressure. And I’ve always been someone who always takes care of my health… I’ve never seen it. But I take care of myself.”
Snoop Dogg Rejects Eminem
In 2020 when the rappers were still not on friendly terms, Snoop poked fun at Eminem during an interview. The “Doggystyle” rapper reportedly said that he didn’t think Eminem was one of the top ten rappers in the world. He also said, “When you talk about this hip-hop— that I can’t live without, I can live without.”

Eminem responded to Snoop in his song “Zeus” in 2020 and again in an interview with Shade 45 in 2021. In the song’s lyrics, the rapper expressed his disbelief at criticism coming from his “camp.”
During a 2021 interview, Eminem said, “Everything he says is good, up to a point. He said Dre made the best version of me, really, why do I have a problem with that?…. It was the last statement where he said, ‘As much music as I can live without, I can live without s—.’ Now you are being disrespectful.”
Snoop apologized to the rapper in an October 2021 interview with “The Breakfast Club.” During the interview, he revealed that he loves Eminem and has already apologized to the artist for his previous comments.
The two collaborated on this year’s track, “From the D 2 the LBC,” and were also part of the team that performed in February’s LVI Super Bowl Halftime Show along with Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and Dre.
