Eminem, who officially goes by the name Marshall Mathers, is considered one of the greatest rappers of all time and has recently been given the recognition he deserves.
The “Venom” rapper, in one of the happiest moments of his successful career, was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame during a long and star-studded ceremony at the Microsoft Theater. Eminem becomes Detroit’s 20th inductee in the institution’s 36-year history.
Interestingly, his mother, Debbie Mathers, who has had a rocky relationship with the rapper over the years, congratulated her son through a short clip posted on social media.
Debbie Mathers Congratulates Eminem On His Latest Achievement
Despite all the rumors circulating on social media in the past that the 67-year-old had died of breast cancer, Mathers finally denied the baseless rumors in her latest video.

A fan account on Twitter dedicated to tweeting about Eminem posted a video on the bird app, showing the rapper’s mother praising the “Without Me” singer for his outstanding achievement.
The anonymous individual accompanied the video with a caption, writing, “Debbie, Eminem’s mother, is very much alive and very proud of her son’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.”
The video itself reveals Mathers sitting on a sofa in his living room. He was wearing a purple “Shady Records” t-shirt and ripped jeans and his blond hair fell loosely to his shoulders.
He began by saying, “Marshall, I want to say that I can’t let today go by without congratulating you on your induction into the Hall of Fame. I love you so much. I know you’ll get there. It’s been a long journey . I’m very, very proud of you.”
Mathers, in addition, used the opportunity to get to know her granddaughter, Hailie Jade, complimenting her on her recent career move. He said, “And also, I’m so proud of Hailie Jade, my big girl. I want to tell you Hailie, great job on your podcast, and God bless you all. I really love you.”

The “Lose Yourself” rapper, after being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, gave a tearful speech reflecting on his early struggles, most notably a 2007 overdose.
His daughter Hailie, who shares a close bond with him, was present at the event to support her dad at the star-studded induction.
The socialite, while listening to the “Superman” comedian talk about how he almost died of an overdose, gave a funny reaction as he watched his father pour his heart out on stage. A cameraman, who caught the young artist playfully making his dramatic reaction, displayed it on the big screen, much to the amusement of the Hall of Fame audience.
Per Geo News, Eminem, before delving into his speech, had instructions, which he jokingly gave to his daughter.
He said, “Hailie, plug your ears: for the medicines are very delicious, and I think we have a good thing, but I had to go and f — everything and take too much. God d – n. [Sic] OK Hailie”.
The “Mockingbird” rapper continued his speech, showing his gratitude to several other rappers for motivating him. He mentions big names in the industry, such as Dr. Dre, The Notorious BIG, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, and several other talented rappers.
He went on to add, “I realize what an honor it is now to be here tonight and how special it is to be doing the music I love.”
Eminem And His Mother Previously Had A Turbulent Relationship
Despite Debbie’s new love for her son, the relationship between mother and son has not been the best. Their unusual dynamic partly shaped the rapper’s determination to pursue music and excel in it.
The 67-year-old gave birth to the “Godzilla” rapper when she was just 18, and the rapper’s father abandoned her after she was born. The couple had to move from Kansas City to Detroit due to financial problems.
However, when Eminem finally made it in the music industry, he accused Mathers of doing drugs in his 1999 song, “My Name Is.”
Mathers, displeased with his son’s actions, proceeded to sue him later that year in a $10 million defamation claim, claiming he defamed him on “The Slim Shady LP.”
