Emma Heming Willis was overcome with emotion as she celebrated her husband, Bruce Willis, on his first birthday since revealing his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.
The legendary actor, who turned 68 on Sunday, March 19, was preceded in death by his wife, Heming. She shared her feelings about the bittersweet celebration on her Instagram.

The model was an emotional train wreck as she honored Bruce on his 68th birthday with a moving message. Through her Instagram, the mother of two shared a video depicting the emotional feeling she felt on her husband’s special day.

Dressed in a checkered round-neck brown sweater and wearing a pair of glasses, Heming looked downcast as he spoke to his followers from the comfort of his home.
She began by saying, “So today is my husband’s birthday. I had started the morning crying as you can see by my swollen face and stuffy nose. I just think it’s important for you to look at all these aspects.”
She continued, “I always get these messages or people always tell me, ‘Oh, you’re so strong. I don’t know how you do it.’ I wasn’t given a choice. I wish I was, but I’m also raising two kids in this.”
Explaining her emotions, the CocoBaba founder said, “Sometimes in our lives, we have to put on our big girl panties and do it. And that’s what I did. But I have moments of sadness, every day, sadness every day, and I really felt it today on his birthday.”

A week and days before celebrating her husband’s birthday, the model/actress vowed to protect her husband’s privacy from the prying eyes of the public amid his dementia battle.
According to The Blast, the mother of two does not hesitate to lash out at critics who misjudge her good deeds to pursue influence and career advancement.
Addressing the baseless rumours, the “Red 2” actor uploaded an Instagram video where he shut down the naysayers. In the clip, she wears a blue top and rocks her bare face, wearing animal print glasses. He said,
“I just saw something about me getting my five minutes, which is good. It means you’re listening. So I’m going to take my five minutes, and I’m going to turn it into ten because I’m always going to stand up for my husband.”
The model noted that despite her public attention, she will continue to raise awareness about frontotemporal dementia. He further used the medium to recognize guardians, whom he described as “unsung heroes.”
Heming, who became emotional for a moment, announced, “I’m going to turn my sadness and my anger and my sadness and do something good around something that feels less than that.”
