The wife of Hollywood veteran Bruce Willis has been advocating for mental health ever since her husband was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia.

Although Heming did not see this disease coming, she put everything into taking care of her husband and gaining knowledge about the disease. Most recently, he used his accumulated knowledge of brain health to initiate a critical effort.

He went on to state that a portion of the sales proceeds would go to charities supporting brain health research before ending the caption with a reminder of his cause. She said, “I am committed to using my voice to raise awareness for carers & dementia because through action, education and conversation that creates change ??”

During a talk with PEOPLE about the brand’s purpose, the former La Senza spokeswoman revealed that brain health is often overlooked. However, his view of brain health changed his experience with short-term memory and fog.

Explaining her experience, the fashion model said, “My brain is suffering, and I can feel it. Why focus on our whole body when our brain is our greatest asset and the one we should take care of? I find that when you put your brain first and when you take care of your brain, your whole body benefits.”

According to the British model, this new project is unique to her, given her experience and journey as a nanny to her husband.

“For me, it’s really about connecting with the community and being open and being able to talk about dementia and removing the stigma that there’s no shame around it. I’m learning through the process.”
