Emma Watson, best known for her stellar performance as Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” film series, recently opened up about the challenging scenes she had to shoot for the final film, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.”

In the scene, Watson’s character shares a passionate kiss with Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint. However, the long-awaited kiss was uncomfortable for the two actors as they felt like siblings after working together since they were 11 years old.

During an interview with Jonathan Ross in 2012, Watson, 32, revealed that the kiss was “the most horrible thing” she had ever done. Clarifying his statement, he added, per Daily Mail, “It’s not that Rupert isn’t beautiful, and there are millions of girls out there who would probably cut off their left hand to kiss him, but it just feels like an incest. That’s the only way I can describe it.”

During HBO’s highly anticipated reunion show, “Return To Hogwarts,” Watson and Grint reminisced about their famous on-screen kiss, revealing their feelings about the scene haven’t changed.

Watson recounted that the experience of kissing Grint was “the most horrible thing we’ve ever been through” and that it “felt wrong” because of the sibling-like relationship between her, Grint, and their co-star Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the titular character, Harry Potter.

Radcliffe, who was also present for the reunion special, recalled being a bit of a distraction during filming, saying, “I didn’t make it any better because I was told very clearly that I was just being crazy about this. and was like, ‘I’m going to come on set and watch you kiss. I’m sorry about that, guys.”

According to Watson, the entire cast was excited about the scene, saying, “Everybody wanted to be on set for it.”

Other beloved cast members, including Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), and Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas) also make appearances sharing their own behind-the-scenes stories and memories from the set.

However, franchise creator JK Rowling was absent from the heartwarming celebration and only appeared via archive footage. His absence is likely due to his controversial views on transgender issues, which caused a stir on social media earlier that year.
