Eric Bieniemy was a standout athlete in high school, finishing as the Buffaloes’ second-leading runner in the country. He finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting in 1991, with 1,628 yards and 17 scores, trailing Notre Dame’s Raghib Ismail and BYU’s Ty Detmer.
