Reports have confirmed the death of Kevin Turen, the producer known for his work on the X Ti West horror film franchise and popular TV shows such as “Euphoria” and “The Idol.”
Her father, Edward Turen, confirmed her death over the weekend, although the cause of death remains undisclosed. Turen is survived by his wife, Evelina, and their two sons — Jack and James.

Following Turen’s passing, Jay Penske, CEO of Penske Media Corporation and a close friend of the late film producer, released a statement late Sunday that began:
“Despite his many accomplishments in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion is his family and friends. He is very proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, are determined that their children grow up with high values and ensure that they make a difference in the wider world.”
He continued, “Our collective hearts break for them, and we all feel a deep sense of loss. We will miss Kevin dearly, and the city has lost one of its rising stars today,” per The New York Post.

While on Earth, Turen continued his education at Columbia University, earning degrees in English and Critical Film Studies upon graduation. The New York native later became a key figure in co-founding Little Lamb Productions with Sam and Ashley Levinson.
The company is responsible for such successful projects as HBO’s “Euphoria”, Netflix’s “Pieces Of A Woman”, starring Vanessa Kirby, and “Malcolm & Marie” featuring David John Washington and Zendaya.
Sadly, the 44-year-old’s death comes months after the tragic death of the show’s star, Angus Cloud, who died on July 31 aged 25.

Fans Are Anxiously Waiting Next Year For The New Season Of ‘Euphoria’
Aside from mourning the loss of Cloud, who played Fezco and Turen, fans have added the delay of the third season of “Euphoria” to their list of painful moments. Earlier this month, HBO head Casey Bloys announced during a recent presentation in New York City that the drama series, alongside the return of “The Last of Us,” has been delayed until 2025.
The delay of the series’ third season hints that there will be significant changes in the upcoming episodes, especially since Cloud’s unexpected departure leaves some uncertainty about how the show will deal with and manage the loss in the storyline.
Additionally, Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat Hernandez, revealed her decision to leave the show in 2022, deciding not to return for a third season. Earlier this year, she shared her reasons for leaving, expressing her desire not to be typecast as a “fat friend.”
During a discussion on Dax Shepherd’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, he elaborated on his decision, stating he didn’t see a clear direction for his character to develop on the show. As Deadline reportedly, he said:
“I think there are places he can go. I don’t think it will fit the show. I don’t know if it would do him justice, and I think both parties know that I really want to not be a fat best friend. I don’t want to play that, and I don’t think they want that either. I will play it as long as I am asked.”
Set in 2019, “Euphoria” takes place in the fictional town of East Highland, California, focusing on characters searching for hope amid the complexities of love, loss and addiction. The series is an adaptation of the Israeli show of the same title, created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin.
In an August interview, show creator and head writer Sam Levinson described Season 3 as “film noir” and envisioned Zendaya’s character, recovering addict Rue Bennett, delving into the concept of maintaining personal principles in a broken world.
