Father Kevin Turen Confirms His Young Son Witnessed Producer’s Last Moments
While the Turen family is still coming to terms with the unexpected passing of their beloved son, husband and father, new details have emerged.
According to the late producer’s father, Edward Turen, and his close friend, Michael Heller, the “Wassup Brothers” producer was driving his ten-year-old son home from a tennis tournament when the tragedy occurred on Sunday.
His Tesla was said to have been on autopilot when he had a medical emergency, with his son managing to drive the car to the side of the highway before calling 911. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the “Those Who Wish Me Dead” producer was pronounced dead there.
Although Edward and Michael informed TMZ that drugs and alcohol were not involved, authorities are still working to establish an official cause of death. At the same time, Jay Penske, Kevin’s close friend and CEO of Penske Media Corporation, remembered the late 44-year-old as a family man. In a statement released by Jay after Kevin’s death, he shared:
“Despite his many accomplishments in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion is his family and friends. He is very proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, have decided that their children grow up with high values and ensure that they make a difference in the wider world. Our collective hearts break for them, and we all feel a deep sense of loss. We will greatly miss Kevin, and the city has lost one of today’s brightest rising stars.”
Although many do not know about the personal details of Kevin’s life and marriage due to his privacy, we do know that his wife, Evelina, is an actress. He is best known for his role in “The Box” [2009]”That Awkward Moment” [2014]and “Arbitrage” [2012]produced by her late husband.
Evelina, who has also made appearances in the award-winning sitcoms “Scrubs” and “Desperate Housewives,” has shared the screen with many Hollywood names. Some of them include Michael B. Jordan, Zac Efron, Mackenzie Davis, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters and Cameron Diaz.
She was married to Kevin from June 23, 2012, until his unfortunate death on November 12, 2023.
Another ‘Euphoria’ Star Passed Away Recently
MEGA
Fans are doubly hurt by the news of Kevin’s passing as it comes just four months after the death of “Euphoria” actor Angus Cloud. However, unlike the father of two, August’s cause of death is suspected to be related to his drug abuse.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the star’s cause of death was confirmed as “acute intoxication” from various drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines.
Revealing the severity of the situation on the day he died, the filing states that the “North Hollywood” actor had taken an “overdose” of the drug. As previously reported, the actor’s official cause of death was linked to drug abuse, but some believe it may have been a fatal combination of drugs.
Now, it has been recorded that the quantity of drugs he ingested was a direct factor in his death. The death certificate also indicates that the actor will be cremated and buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, California.
Angus, who lived in Northern California, was at his Oakland home at the time of his death. Interestingly, the death certificate listed the 25-year-old’s profession as “artist,” stating that “art” was his lifelong business.
The “Your Lucky Day” performer died on July 31, 2023. His family released a statement about his passing, stressing that he did not take his own life. It reads:
“It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to an extraordinary human being today. As an artist, friend, brother and son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”
