Eva Baloch was born on March 11, and she hails from Karachi, Pakistan, where she spent her childhood in the slums of Lyari city, notorious for violence, gangsters and drugs. During his school days, he was often bullied because of his parents’ separation. As a result, he was twice expelled from school because he got into a fight with his bully. In an interview, while talking about the same, he said,
My parents separated. We need to hear the taunts about that. I was expelled from two schools, in Class 5 and Class 9, for fighting with girls who made nasty comments about my family.”
After completing her schooling, she pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Government College for Women, Karachi, Pakistan.

Career
After teaching herself the basics through the internet, Eva B began her journey as a rapper in 2014. She started a YouTube channel, but every time she uploaded a freestyle rap song to her channel, her brother’s friends would tease her about her sister being a rapper. As a result, there are constant arguments in his house. In an interview, while talking about his brother, he said,
The neighbors would come and listen when my brother scolded and fought me.”
Due to a conflict with her brother, Eva B stopped rapping in 2015. Although the rapper stopped rapping, her passion for music and writing about society’s restrictions on girls did not stop. In one of his songs, he said,
Socha rap chhod dun, kalam tod dun, par kalam mein tou meri khoon ki siyahi hai (I thought I would stop rapping, pluck my pen, but the pen has the ink of my blood).”
In 2019, he returned to the Pakistani rap circuit after he was approached by music streaming platform ‘Patari.’ Despite the lack of music and audio equipment, he recorded his first official song titled “Gully Girls” using his cell phone, which went viral. Featured on Patari, the song was produced by Pakistani record producer Sunny Khan Durrani and Patari CEO Zari Faisal.
Inspired by the 2019 Indian musical drama film ‘Gully Boy,’ in the song Eva B challenges gender and social norms that stifle her dream of becoming a rapper. She collaborated with Pakistani singer Momina Mustehsan to perform “Gully Girls” at the Lux Style Awards (2019).

He has lent his rap for the songs Kehndi (2020) and Siyasi (2021) by Pakistani rapper-singer Mudassar Qureshi. Operating under his pseudonym, gives him a sense of security from his orthodox brother, who wants him to abandon his career. I have to lie to my brother if I have to go for a recording. I’ll say I’m going to university…I lied at home about having to attend a friend’s wedding. I will ask everyone to schedule me before night so I can make excuses at home more easily.”
In the 14th season of ‘Coke Studio,’ Eva B collaborated as a rapper with Pakistani vocalist Kaifi Khalil and Tambura player Wahab Ali Bugti for the song ‘Kana Yaari.’ Getting 3.2 million views by the third day of the release of ‘Kana Yaari’ made Eva B a YouTube sensation.

- Various publications and media use the title “hijabi rapper” for Eva B because she maintains her identity anonymously by wearing a hijab, hijab or head covering worn in public by some Muslim women. ‘Faeva’ is her nickname.
- “Eva B” is not the rapper’s real name. In an interview, she revealed that the nickname ‘Eva’ is a tribute to the first woman on Earth, Eve. Like Eve, Eva B is also the first female rapper from Pakistan. Meanwhile, the letter “B” signifies his Baloch identity. She is also known as “Gully Girl.”
