Evangeline Lilly Recalls Calling Michael Douglas A ‘GILF’ In Front Of Children

Actress Evangeline Lilly talks about how she boldly called Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer “GILFS” in front of children.

Lilly made the announcement while filming “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania,” in which she stars alongside Douglas and Pfeiffer.

He recently spoke about his past disdain for superhero movies and mentioned that he turned down Hugh Jackman’s invitation to play a role in “X-Men.”

The “Real Steel” actor appeared on an upcoming episode of the “Jonathan Ross Show” where he revealed that he told his “Ant-Man” co-star that he wanted to “f**k” her.

While recounting the awkward moment on set where she revealed she called the cast “GILFs,” one surprising fact she revealed was that she did it in front of several children.

“There was this day on set, we were doing a scene in a restaurant and we were in a waiting room, so they filmed the waiting room with extras and there were kids,” she shared on the show.

“I turned to Michael and Michelle, and I said, ‘You know, you’re real GILFs,'” added Lilly.

Lilly, 43, described the incident in more detail, stressing that Douglas’ lack of understanding of his sexual intentions resulted in his being treated with indifference.

“Michael doesn’t know. He said, ‘What is a GILF?’ Instead of being cool about it, in front of a room full of kids, I went, “It’s grandpa I want to mess with,” he revealed.

According to Daily MailLilly then realized that she had told Douglas that she wanted to “teas” him and that she shouldn’t be doing that with so many kids around.

“GILF,” which stands for Grandpa I Like to F**k, is a version of the popular term “MILF,” which means Mom I’d Like to F**k, and became famous thanks to the 1990 movie “American Pie.”

The “Lost” alum later revealed that landing a role in “The Hobbit” franchise was a dream come true for him, having previously admitted that he had turned down offers to star in several big-budget films.

Lilly shared her excitement on the show as she stated that she is a fan of the franchise and had read the book when she was 13, which was her favorite at the time. He also shared that he read “Lord of The Rings” as a teenager.

“I fantasize night after night about being a forest elf. And then I was retired, I just had my first baby and I got the call… I really didn’t want to act but I was like, ‘I really want to do it,’” she told host Jonathan Ross.

Lilly also revealed that she had to steal key relics on the set of the film to add to her archive as a fan of the franchise. “There is this very important prop, the rune stone that Kili gave to Tauriel. They had made about a dozen of them and one of them was chosen. It is beautifully designed,” he revealed.

“We use everything else for training. It really was the best, so between taking one of the scenes I just put it in my pocket and then I was like, ‘Um, guys I think I dropped a rune stone, I don’t know where it is,'” he added. .

He said a frantic search for props took place, but he did not return them, noting that the director was angry at the time.

Lilly recently revealed that she turned down the opportunity to star in “X-Men” at Hugh Jackman’s request. In appearance at Happy Sad Confused podcast, she revealed that Jackman personally asked her to star in the film while they were on set for “Real Steel” in 2011.

“He was like, ‘Hey, so, the X-Men guys are asking me if I’m going to approach you because they know you’re not going to talk to anybody,'” she shared, per Entertainment Weekly. “They know I work with you and are interested to know if it would interest you to do the X-Men thing.”

The actor stated that he flatly rejected the offer, further revealing that he doesn’t like superhero movies, which made him feel like he was rude to her. Lilly also revealed that she almost turned down “Ant-Man” but was advised against it by her agent.

He recounted that contrary to his initial attitude, his agent had asked him to watch a Marvel movie, which impressed him. “When I did it, I was like, ‘Oh, they’re doing something really different and really cool,'” he said.
