Ex accused of planning Microsoft exec Jared Bridegan’s murder smirks in mugshot

Photographs of the woman accused of fatally shooting her former Microsoft executive in front of her 2-year-old daughter in Florida last year have been released.

Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, 36, was arrested in August at her $1 million home in Washington – five months after her second husband Mario Fernandez Saldana was shackled.

The couple faces charges for allegedly plotting the murder of Jared Bridegan, 33, who was shot execution-style in front of his daughter in Jacksonville Beach in February 2022.

Florida police released a photo of Gardner-Fernandez, which shows the mother of two, with braided hair, making a small smile while staring straight into the camera.

He was originally taken to the Benton County Jail before he was extradited to the Sunshine State to face his charges.

His lawyers tried to fight extradition Thursday after the state government said it would seek the death penalty.

Gardner-Fernandez has resisted extradition since his arrest and continues to deny his involvement in the alleged murder-for-hire plot.

He appeared before a Duval County judge on Saturday and has been charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit a felony, and child abuse, according to online records.

Authorities allege he had Bridegan ambushed by Fernandez’s former tenant, Henry Tenon, as he stopped to move a tire off the road.

The slain father had dropped off the two children he shared with Garner-Fernandez shortly before he was killed. They were involved in a custody battle at the time.

Father-of-four Bexley, one of two children he shares with his second wife Kirsten Bridegan, narrowly missed being shot and was left alone at the scene until a passerby called police.

Shortly after Bridegan’s death, Gardner-Fernandez moved to Washington.

Bridegan and Gardner-Fernandez divorced in 2015, but their court battle continued until her murder seven years later.

Fernandez and Gardner-Fernandez have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Tenon pleaded guilty to charges related to Bridegan’s murder.
