The Georgia mother of three accused of plotting a murder-for-hire attack against her ex-NFLer husband in the Bahamas, claims she has not been able to see her children since he returned to the US on holiday.
Lindsay Shiver alleges in a motion filed in Thomas County, Georgia, Superior Court on January 3 that Robert Shiver has prevented her from visiting their three children and kept their whereabouts unknown, according to WDHN.
The couple share three sons, all under the age of 12.
The former beauty queen was allowed to return to her parents’ home in Alabama on December 22 under the ruling while she awaits a murder-for-hire trial in the Bahamas.
However, the motion alleges that Robert Shiver allegedly violated an agreement that allowed the child to visit Lindsay under a supervised parental order.

“The Plaintiff (Robert Shiver) has denied the Defendant (Lindsay Shiver) any direct contact with the children during the holiday season,” his attorney wrote in the motion, according to the outlet.
Lindsay Shiver’s attorney argued that she was allowed to speak to her children once — via FaceTime on one of the children’s devices on Christmas Day — but has since been unable to contact them.
Lindsay Shiver was not allowed to travel to Georgia, where she lives with her estranged husband.
“It is believed that the children were left in the care of a nanny for an extended period during the holidays when they could have been in Alabama with their mother and extended family members who love them,” her attorney said.

“The children knew the Defendant (Linday Shiver) was at their grandparents’ house in Alabama, and the youngest child was very upset.”
Robert Shiver, 38, had pleaded with a judge to overturn his request to return to the US, explaining he was “grateful to be alive” after his failed attempt to kill her.
“After reviewing the allegations, this was a near miss… I was concerned about my safety,” the former Auburn University football player said after the Dec. 21 verdict.

In the same motion, her attorney said that her estranged husband sold her a 2021 Cadillac Escalade without asking her and also removed her personal belongings from the Georgia home they once shared before he allegedly plotted to kill her.
Robert Shiver allegedly cut off access to financial resources multiple times, according to the motion.
Lindsay Shiver has been remanded to the Bahamas since July, although she has been released from prison on the condition that she wears an electronic monitoring device and obeys a curfew.

Shiver is accused of ordering her lover Adrien Bethel, 28, and hitman Faron Newbold Jr., 29, to kill Robert Shiver amid their increasingly bitter divorce.
The mother of three allegedly sent Bethel a series of texts asking him to “kill” her husband.
The plot was foiled after local police found a text detailing the incident during an unrelated investigation into a break-in at the seaside bar where Bethel worked.
Both Lindsay Shiver and Bethel deny seriously pursuing a murder-for-hire plot.
Before their marriage fell apart, the Shivers split their time between their Thomasville, Georgia, multimillion-dollar mansion and luxury in the exclusive Bahamian enclave of Baker’s Bay.
The couple met when Robert Shiver was captain of the Auburn University football team in 2007.

Following his college career, Robert Shiver signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent but was released before the 2009 season.
He later became executive vice president for Senior Life Insurance Company.
Robert Shiver has been dating reality TV star Savannah Chrisley, known from “Chrisley Knows Best” since November 2023.
Lindsay Shiver is expected to return to the Bahamas for a pre-trial on February 21, 2024, according to the outlet.
The murder-for-hire trial is set to begin on March 4.
