Bud Light is facing backlash after announcing trans-TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney as the brand’s newest spokesperson.

Former UFC fighter Jake Shields weighed in on the Bud Light controversy, calling it “beer s*t.”
Shields responded to Kid Rock’s viral video of himself shooting several cases of Bud Light, writing, “It’s beer, so unfortunately, I can’t boycott something I don’t drink.”

Kid Rock Makes His Opinions Known

In a recent Tweet, Kid Rock shared his thoughts on making Dylan Mulvaney the newest Bud Light spokesperson.
“Daduk is feeling a little lively today,” he said in the video. “Let me say something to you all as clearly and succinctly as possible.”
Kid Rock pulled out a gun and began shooting rapidly at the Bud Light can. “F*ck Bud Light and f*ck Anheiser Busch. Have a great day,” he said before exiting the camera.

Many stars responded to the video, including Jerrod Sessler, who write, “Absolute clarity proves trust. Hopefully they don’t come after that, their fancy guns… I think they will.”
And bestselling author Nick Adams tweeted“Thanks for joining the boycott, son!”
Meanwhile, others use their social media accounts to voice their opinions, such as conservative commentators John Cardillowho wrote, “Who at @budlight thought it was a good idea to make a grown man dressed as a little girl their new spokesperson? Brands need to stop listening to their creative teams waking up and connecting with their consumer demographic.”
As director Robby Starbuck tweeted, “The message to conservative families from @budlight seems to be: We will encourage and even celebrate the elimination of men and women along with all the values you care about. They are awake. Do you ever spend your money with them now?”
While conservative radio host Erick Erickson write, “Is the Bud Light thing an April Fool’s joke? It’s trash beer, but given the demographics of Bud Light drinkers, it looks like terrible marketing.”
Anheuser-Busch Speaks Out

Following the controversy, a spokesperson for Anheuser-Busch released a statement, supporting their decision to make Dylan Mulvaney its brand spokesperson.
“Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and interest points,” the spokesperson said. Fox News Digital. “Sometimes, we create unique commemorative cans for brand fans and influencers like Dylan Mulvaney.
