An “extremely dangerous” 5-foot-tall escaped killer was spotted over the weekend on a residential security camera less than 2 miles from the Pennsylvania prison he escaped from.
Danelo Cavalcante, 34, who is serving a life sentence for stabbing to death his ex-girlfriend, was wearing dark pants, a white T-shirt and white shoes when surveillance cameras in Pocopson Township outside Philadelphia captured his appearance around 1:34 a.m. Saturday, three days after he fled, according to ABC News.
Police said the little chicken was also carrying a backpack, although it was unclear where he got it from.
Someone attempted to burglarize a home in the township around 11:30 p.m. Friday, but police said they don’t know if it was Cavalcante.
He was caught on camera Saturday about 1.5 miles from the Chester County Jail near Philadelphia.
Cavalacante escaped from prison just a week after his sentence.
“Danelo Cavalcante is considered a very dangerous man,” Chester County DA Deb Ryan said in a statement on Facebook on Saturday. “We are asking for the public’s help to track him down. … Law enforcement is doing everything right now to track him down.”

The top prosecutor added at the press conference, “We are asking residents in the Pocopson Township area to stay inside.
“Lock your door, lock your car. He is still considered a very dangerous individual. There is evidence to show that he is still at the local residence. We don’t believe he has gotten more than one to two miles from prison.”
It is unclear how Cavalcante was killed.
The Brazilian — who speaks Spanish and Portuguese — had just started life without parole for the April 2021 murder of his 33-year-old ex, Deborah Brandao, when he went on the run.

He is also wanted for a 2017 murder in Brazil, the district attorney said.
Cavalcante will be transferred to a state prison before he escapes, according to ABC.
Authorities described him as 5 feet tall and 120 pounds. He has thick, black curly and brown eyes.
Cavalcante may still be in the vicinity of Route 52 in Pocopson, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Federal authorities are picking through a wooded neighborhood of about 271 homes to try to uproot it, ABC said.

“We are narrowing down the scope of our search – we believe he may be in a residential location consisting of hundreds of homes in a deep wooded area at this time, but our search is still active,” Ryan said.
Anyone who sees Cavalcante should not approach him, Ryan said. Instead, they should call 911 immediately.
Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for his capture.
