The singer spoke passionately about Loretta and her inspiring music. “Loretta is unabashedly honest about the struggles and joys of being a wife and mother, a woman who loves life – loving, lying, cheating, having babies, not having babies … she sings about it all.”
Faith called the “You Ain’t Woman Enough” singer “fierce and proud of who she is, where she comes from, and how she lives her life.” McGraw called the late singer a “trailblazer” and thanked him for paving the way for his wife and many women in the country.
Faith continues; “She didn’t push boundaries for women in country music, she shredded them. He gave us this brave new space to find our own way to dream and leap into the music we made, the careers and lives we had… He was always kind, good and supportive of us all. Everyone in this room has a story they can share. He’s very smart and funny.”
