Bethenny Frankel is mulling her options following the controversy surrounding her latest podcast episode.
The reality television personality, who left Bravo for a second time in 2019 and has criticized the network for its treatment of stars, also publicly slammed her former friend Andy Cohen. Taking aim at his interview style, Frankel claimed that the father of one asked “problematic questions” during the “Watch What Happens Live” show.

In addition to being a familiar face on “The Real Housewives of New York,” Frankel has been a force for many outspoken and often controversial views.
She reminded fans of her dedication to honesty with a lengthy statement reflecting on her “words,” “actions” and “opinions,” tagging Internet personality Raquel Leviss and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes. He begins by stating his attempt “to be authentic in sharing my views on a popular topic” and then continues:
“Although I may not agree with everything the public says, I only know “them” that the media conveys. It is our duty to err on the human side. I am critical with the goal of protecting my daughter from ideals and false images of beauty, but the responsibility of parenting lies with parents not the public. Conflict and judgment sell reality tv. It’s a phenomenon, featuring women I pretend to know in a system designed for judgment and conflict.”
He explained that although he “didn’t know these women at all,” he had “now spent time with” and understood “most of them” without “cameras, publicity, media articles and shows designed to highlight our badness. .”
“I adored a lot of them long before reality tv, and started to really dislike a lot of them. Do they change? Or is it a toxic environment designed for ratings?,” the 52-year-old wondered.
Later in the statement, Frankel shared that “a coverer and his wit” that “often sacrificed others” pushed him “through this line of toxic sewage,” adding that “a letter about psychologists and reducing alcohol consumption is a good step, but not enough .”
After stating that he stays away from the camera because he realizes “his part in it”, and confirming that he will not sue for the lies peddled against him by the media, he concludes:
“Reality counts, is true, real, and I will lead by example and grow for myself and for my daughter. This is not only a calculation in the industry but also in myself.”
The Apprentice: 2005 runner-up Martha Stewart was expected to applaud her fans, with one saying in the comments, “A big honor for you. When you know better you do better. You have come a long way since growing up. Brynn is lucky to have you.”
“Always be a realistic housewife. Give yourself some grace you’re doing the best you can under your circumstances,” wrote a second fan, while “The Real Housewives of Jersey” alumna, Kathy Wakile, added, “Honest and Brave! That’s what sets you apart as we go through our priority shift. All we can do is Do Better.”

As mentioned above, Frankel’s Instagram post comes right after the latest episode of the “Just B” podcast, where he had Leakes as a guest this week. During the show, the former “Bethenny” headliner took a swipe at Cohen in her ongoing criticism of Bravo, saying:
“The last time I went on the show, I was with my daughter, and … she asked this question like, ‘Who’s the ugliest Housewife?’ And you’re like, ‘Oh, let me think.’ [He’ll ask stuff like], ‘Who’s the worst mother?’ A very problematic question.”
The “Bethenny Ever After” alum later expressed her perception that the “WWHL” host enjoys a level of protection, while the show’s guests often receive intense scrutiny and criticism, which she clearly likens to having “Tobasco sauce poured over” their “naked” bodies.
Before the drama, Frankel had shared a video on her Instagram page, using the phrase “I’m a question mark character” to emphasize that her entry into the “Real Housewives” franchise was unexpected.
He explained that this situation arose because the show’s production company was looking for additional actors following Bravo’s insistence on having five wives, as opposed to its original request for four.
The mother of one revealed that she was recommended to the show’s producers by Jill Zarin and her husband, Bobby. Upon seeing the YouTuber on camera, the producers were impressed and after some initial reservations, finally decided to bring him on board.
