In September 2021, The Blast reported that Lewinsky shared an update on her feelings for Clinton during her media rounds for FX’s American Crime Story series, “Impeachment: Monica Lewinsky.”

The activist previously opened up and essentially confirmed that there was a part of the show where her character showed Clinton the ropes. Lewinsky also claims that this particular incident is based on true events. During one of the media rounds, the 49-year-old woman revealed her nervousness when people see the details of her life. In his words:

“I get nervous when people see the worst moments of my life and a lot of the behavior that I regret. If you think back to your 20s not so long ago, it’s pretty frustrating,”

The former government aide also expressed his feelings about getting an apology from Clinton. He said, “He should want to apologize, in the same way, I want to apologize when I get the chance to the people I hurt and my actions have hurt.” However, Lewinsky observed that the apology would be more beneficial for the former US president as it could be part of his healing process.
