Barely a few days have passed since Kirstie Alley’s passing and the trolls are starting to complain, especially on Twitter. People who disagree with his views on politics, vaccinations, LGBTQ+ and more have taken to Twitter to air their thoughts, and it’s not pretty.
While there are plenty of fans who have posted RIP messages for Alley, remembering him for his role or his in-your-face comic timing, not everyone has been so kind. And it has left many on social media stunned…
Kirstie Alley Mourning Being A ‘True Patriot’?
MEGA
It’s no secret that Alley is a staunch supporter of the Trump doctrine, but his life and especially his death have nothing to do with it.
Now there are many fans of Alley, who mourn his passing but also take the opportunity to talk about how he was a true patriot because he supported certain regimes over others. For example, one Twitter user wrote: “Kirstie Alley loves America and loves Trump. She rejected Wokeness and is one of the few actresses in Hollywood brave enough to speak out during COVID. Rest in Peace Kirstie Alley.”
There were many shocked Twitter users who wanted to shut him up with replies like:
“Way to use a family tragedy to push your own agenda. You are disgusting.”
“So, you reduce someone’s life to their political beliefs? Really disgusting. I’m not a fan, but he deserves to be remembered for more than politics.”
But there was more political sadness, of course with Tweets like:
Hollywood lost one of their brightest stars today with the tragic passing of Kirstie Alley.
Kirstie loved her country and President Trump, and she will always be remembered for her award-winning role in Cheers.
Rest in Peace. America will never be the same.

And then there’s the Tweet at the tip of the pole!
I’m so glad Kirstie Alley got to watch Trump lose before he died

More Issues With Kirstie Alley Being Anti-Vaxxer & Scientist

Her political beliefs aside, it’s clear that Kirstie Alley’s anti-vaccination approach doesn’t resonate with many people, and her membership in the Church of Scientology also alienates her from her fans.
Now, with him gone, Twitter still seems to have a lot of hate to go through:
Scientology promises that if you reach the top you won’t get cancer. Kirstie Alley was an OT8 but died of cancer today. This is a reminder that SCIENTOLOGY IS A CULT.Also please donate to cancer research. ✨️

One Twitter user responded to this comment, embarrassed by all the hate for Alley, writing, “I will never understand why people choose to distract from the main point. It seems like it’s an opportunity to express a point of view at the expense of another tragedy. Scientology did not end his life. Cancer does.”
The hate, however, has just begun, apparently someone has a problem with him being anti-vaccination.
Maybe I’m being cynical, stupid, but anti-vaxxers like Kirstie Alley hurt/killed a lot of people. Sorry if I didn’t care that he passed. A few funny moments on the television show, Cheers, 35 to 40 years ago did not overcome the damage he did.

There are others who want people to stop with the hate and just move on:
Cancer doesn’t care what your political ideology is, or lack thereof. Cancer is a cruel disease. No one deserves it.
I hope wherever Kirstie Alley is, she is at peace. Choose your words wisely and remember that he has people who love him.
I’ll leave it at that.

Yet more says a lot, without actually saying anything!
Kirstie Alley, has died of cancer. I have nothing more to add.
This is one of those times when I will use the words “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything”.

For Others, Things Get More Personal

One Twitter user wrote, clearly disturbed by the past social media conversation, “Before Kirstie Alley blocked me she said I was going to gay hell….. I think she got to her destination before I did.”
Thankfully, some Tweets make more sense than others:

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Kirstie Alley. he’s an amazing talent whose politics I strongly disagree with – but even so, I have to think someone with his sense of humor would still appreciate being the star of one of my favorite twitter stories. pic.twitter.com/LNIdUopUae
