Earlier this month, Harris shared an image of herself on Facebook with a caption revealing she plans to release new music for her fans. In the post, she wore an alluring smile and looked healthy, which left many fans shocked by her death.

CJ Harris’ seriousness on ‘The American Idol’
Harris’s rise to fame came during her appearance on “American Idol” season 13. She previously auditioned for the Fox series in 2010 along with other reality singing competitions but failed to impress the judges.

At the time, he shared that his uncle had given him a guitar that “had three strings on it.” Despite his dire situation, Harris practiced with and “would tune it in such a way that when I strummed it, it sounded like it was in any key.”
He said, per Hollywood Reporter, “I found a different sound. I just love music, so I really try to find sounds that I really like and just play them. I know it’s weird, but that’s what I do.”
The singer also recalled an instance of his mother singing to him when she visited him while he was in prison.
Harris added, “I was six years old, and my mother was in prison. He would sing to me over the phone, and tears would flow out of my eyes.
