Ahead of the Queen’s funeral, a rainbow was seen at the palace of Westminster, where Her Majesty’s coffin lay in state for mourners to pay their last respects. Rainbow sightings are extremely rare – thus symbolizing this historic moment.
Per People Magazine, the sighting happened yesterday, Sunday, at the palace. According to them, a local government official tweeted an amazing picture of the sky. In the words of the official, “A most extraordinary rainbow over the Palace of Westminster on the night of the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II.”
This beautiful rainbow was captured atop the “Elizabeth Tower,” formerly called the “Clock Tower.” However, it was later renamed to celebrate the late Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which took place in 2012.
