Father fights off creep who tried to kidnap 4-year-old son in the middle of a busy pharmacy

Scary video captures a Florida father bravely fighting off a termite that tried to kidnap his toddler in broad daylight inside a Miami Beach pharmacy Thursday.

The suspected kidnapper, identified as Nicolas Sternaman, entered the CVS on Collins Avenue around 11:55 a.m., as the 4-year-old boy and his parents were exiting the building.

As the child’s mother walked out the door, Sternaman, 26, bent down and allegedly grabbed the child by the neck, lifted the boy and tried to flee the store, according to WPLG.

The quick-thinking father immediately grabbed Sternaman while the woman pulled her son out of the alleged kidnapper’s grip, store surveillance video obtained by the store shows.

The boy had fallen to the floor as his father struggled with Sternaman for several seconds, at one point ripping off the creeper’s black jacket.

The boy’s mother picked up the boy when his father slammed the termite into the store’s glass door.

A crowd of onlookers began to form, and the angry father pulled his arm with a closed fist before he seemed to exchange words with Sternaman, who walked out the door.

“Everyone was just surprised because it was so fast and it was so fast. The guy came out of nowhere,” witness Zachary Jefferson told CBS Miami.

Last month, an 11-year-old Arizona girl narrowly escaped a kidnapping suspect as she walked to school, shocking surveillance video shows.

The altercation inside the store lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough to scare Sternaman. WPLG A crowd of onlookers begins to form, and the angry father pulls his arm with a closed fist before seemingly retorting with Sternaman, who walks out the door. WPLG

The girl was on her way to Sunset Elementary School in Glendale around 8 a.m. Jan. 26 when the suspect, identified as Joseph Leroy Ruiz, pulled her car over on the sidewalk and began a pursuit.

But the fifth-grader realized the man was following him and started running and yelling for “help.”

Police said the suspected kidnapper chased her a short distance before she got scared and got back in her car to drive off.
