He shared his loss and asked local officials to properly investigate Ana’s death. Ana’s tragic passing was announced by concert organizers at X on Saturday.
Swift herself has also spoken out about Ana’s passing and said the loss was completely “devastating”. He has now postponed his Brazil concert due to “extreme temperatures” in Rio.

On November 18, Weiny Machado spoke to a local newspaper, Folha De Sao Pauloabout the death of his daughter.
He said, “I lost my only daughter, a cheerful and intelligent girl. She will graduate in Psychology next April, saving money. I have no words to express my pain. He left home to fulfill a dream and came back to die.”

Ana’s death was officially confirmed on Saturday by Time for Fun (T4F), the organizers of the concert. The company issued a statement on X, previously known as Twitter, which read, “Last night, Ana Clara felt unwell and was immediately treated by the fire and paramedic team, taken to the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos [on-site medic] for first aid protocol.”
The statement did not provide any details about the cause of Ana’s medical emergency, who was 23 years old at the time. It further read, “Given the situation, the medical team chose to transfer him to Salgado Filho Hospital, where, after almost an hour of emergency treatment, he unfortunately died.”
Reports later revealed that Ana died of cardiorespiratory arrest.

Weiny revealed to Folha de São Paulo that he called for a proper investigation by local officials. He was speaking about reports that Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santo failed to provide fans with water amid Brazil’s record-breaking heat wave.
Weiny said, “I want it to be known whether they were actually prohibited from carrying water, whether there was negligence in providing aid. I know the singer is handing out water to his fans, and that’s ridiculous for an event of this magnitude. Nothing will bring my son back, but I hope that, if negligence is confirmed, someone will be punished so that this does not happen to anyone else.”

Swift released a statement regarding Ana’s tragic death. The Grammy winner posted a statement to her Instagram Story and said the loss “devastated her.”
It read, “I can’t believe I’m writing these words but with a broken heart I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can’t tell you how devastated I am by this.
Swift also wrote that she currently does not have much information about Ana and her passing, except that the young woman is “very beautiful and too young.”
He continued, “I won’t be able to talk about this from the stage because I’m overwhelmed with grief when I try to talk about it.”
The “Delicate” singer closed her statement with, “I want to say right now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to his family and friends. This is the last thing I thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil .”
Taylor Swift Postpones Next Brazil Concert

Several videos shared on social media show some of these moments, with the singer ordering staff to prepare water for fans. Swift also had to postpone her last performance due to the “extreme temperatures” in Brazil at the moment.
Eduardo Paes, the mayor of Rio, announced that the postponed Saturday show will be held on Monday, November 20.
Ripple effects from Ana’s death include changes to stadium guidelines regarding spectators and access to food and water. T4F has now changed its policy to provide participants with free water bottles at some distribution points. They can also bring in processed food and water glasses with lids.
