Convicted “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Shah will never see any of that sweet reality TV money again. He was sentenced to 6 and a half years in prison for a bogus telemarketing scheme that targeted senior citizens and defrauded them of their money. The 49-year-old wife and mother began serving her sentence in February at a Texas prison.
As part of several conditions he is expected to meet before regaining his freedom, Shah has agreed to forfeit $6.5 million dollars and make restitution to victims. In addition, he will be required to attend a mental health program approved by his parole officer, among other requirements.

Feds Beat Shah’s Employers for Money

The publisher, Shed Media, revealed the amount following a government inquiry with a legal filing. The Shed is on the list of production companies being pursued by the Feds as they try and find cash to cover the huge amount of restitution owed by the disgraced reality star.
Jen Shah’s Colleague Says She Was Surprised By Her Salary

Shah’s “brave” friend and “Real Housewives Of Dallas” alum Stephanie Hollman weighed in on her salary after the revelation. Hollman noted that being in the Bravo franchise is quite expensive, and one is not expected to earn much until after three or four seasons.
“I would say, season 1 for me, I feel like I paid to be on the show,” he recounts each Entertainment Tonight. “Like, I definitely spent more than I made. In season 5, I was making a lot of money. Season 3 is when you start making pretty good money, and that’s why after season 3, you see a lot of Housewives go and then they keep a smaller percentage.”
Hollman went on to weigh Shah’s salary, who expressed surprise at the figure. “I only have five years of experience, but I will tell you that it’s more than double what you usually make season 3 in my experience. So, I will leave you. If he got that payment, he was paid an insane amount of money to stay in season 3,” Hollman said.
Jen Shah Reported To Jail In February

The convicted reality star began serving his prison sentence on February 17 at the Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas.
He was found guilty of wire fraud in a bogus telemarketing scheme targeting the elderly and sentenced to 78 months in prison.
At the time of sentencing, his lawyer expressed his regret and apology to the victims of his crimes.
“Jen believes in our justice system, understands that anyone who breaks the law will be punished, and accepts this punishment as fair,” said Chaudry, per Page Sixfurther adding, “Jen will pay her debt to society and when she becomes a free woman again, she vows to pay her debt to the victims harmed by her mistakes.”
Shah must meet certain conditions after serving a 78-month prison sentence. He will serve five years of supervised release where he is expected to enroll in a mental health program.
The reality star will be required to continue taking her medication unless advised otherwise by medical staff. He will also undergo drug testing at least twice during the mental health program he is enrolled in.
The Government Is Trying To Seize His Assets

Just weeks after Shah began serving his six-and-a-half-year prison sentence, the government reportedly began efforts to seize his assets.
follow Online Radarsubpoenas were issued to Baron App Inc, the company that owns Cameo, an app that allows fans to buy personalized videos from celebrities.
A spokesperson for the company shared that the government ordered them to disclose whether the convicted reality star had any money or assets with them. The representative reportedly said Cameo did not have any Shah assets on its books.
The mother of two, in addition to losing several luxury bags, jewelry, rings and jackets, will pay damages totaling approximately $6 million.
He previously told a US judge that he would work in prison with his manager to find a way to pay restitution.
