Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) draped himself in an Israeli flag as he joined nearly 300,000 people gathered on the National Mall in Washington, DC, Tuesday in support of the Jewish state as it waged war against Hamas terrorists.
The Pennsylvania Democrat was photographed at a March for Israel rally with a blue and white flag draped over his trademark hoodie as he greeted attendees.
Fetterman has been unwavering in his staunch support for Israel since the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack despite facing some left-wing backlash over his stance.
“Of course I’m here, how could I not be!” Fetterman told a rally attendee, according to an attendee’s X post.
One sharp-eyed X user pointed out that Fetterman used the string on his hoodie to attach the flag to himself in “the most bipartisan act I’ve ever seen from a Senator.”
Fetterman’s fondness for the Israeli flag sparked several pro-Palestinian protests outside the US Capitol last week, after the senator emerged from the building waving a small Star of David flag above his head as several protesters were being arrested.

“Shy! What a joke!” several protestors booed as Fetterman walked by.
In his office, the senator also displayed a poster of innocent Israelis kidnapped by Hamas terrorists during their deadly raid that also killed 1,200 people.
“They will stay awake until everyone gets home safely,” Fetterman said in a video posted on X.

Fetterman also argued against a ceasefire in the conflict, which has reportedly angered some of his supporters and former staff.
“Now is not the time to talk about a ceasefire. We must support Israel in its efforts to eliminate Hamas terrorists who are killing innocent men, women and children,” the former Pennsylvania lieutenant governor said in an Oct. 18 post on X. “Hamas does not want peace, they want to destroy Israel. We can talk about a ceasefire after Hamas is neutralized.”

Fetterman, however, remains a vocal critic of congressional Republican efforts to separate US military aid for Israel from separate aid proposals for Ukraine as it defends itself against Russian aggression.
On Tuesday he called on his GOP colleagues in the upper chamber to stop efforts to pass a stand-alone Israel aid bill.
“Israel and Ukraine are going through an existential threat. We need to send aid to BOTH, and my fellow Republicans need to cut the crap,” Fetterman wrote on X.
“This is not a game,” he added.
