Finland’s party-loving ex-prime minister Sanna Marin finalizes divorce after enjoying ‘hot girl’ summer: report

Finland’s party-loving former Prime Minister Sanna Marin finalized her divorce from her now ex-husband this week, according to a report.

Marin, who previously went viral for dancing wildly while raging with her celebrity friends, announced last May that she and Markus Raikkonen were separating after the couple tied the knot in 2020.

The breakup seems to have turned into a “hot girl” summer where Marin wears trendy clothes while having fun at the festival.

The former state leader left politics last fall after losing re-election to the European country’s far-right opposition party in April.

The divorce between Marin, 37, and Raikkonen was finalized on Monday by the Pirkanmaa District Court, Finnish outlet Yle reported.

When the two filed for divorce eight months ago, they posted a joint statement “vowing to remain good friends.”

Marin and Raikkonen, an investor and retired soccer player, share a daughter and were together for 19 years before their wedding in 2020.

“We’ve lived our youth together, entered adulthood together and grown to be parents to our sweet daughter together,” Marin wrote on Instagram at the time.

Marin became the world’s youngest prime minister when he won election aged 34 in 2019, but came under fire in August when videos leaked of him partying wildly, including footage of him grinding on an unidentified man.

Marin is now a strategic adviser to the Tony Blair Institute, which works with political leaders “to create real change for their people by advising on strategy, policy and delivery.”
