Finn Allen was born on Thursday, April 22, 1999 (22 years old; in 2021) in Auckland, New Zealand. His full name is Finnley Hugh Allen, and his zodiac sign is Taurus.
He received his formal education from Saint Kentigern College, Auckland. He rose to prominence playing cricket for St Kentigern’s College and was later drafted into the New Zealand team for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup at the age of 15.

Domestically
After making his international debut for New Zealand in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, on 17 February 2018, Allen played his first List A match for Auckland in the 2017–18 Ford Trophy, and made his debut in first-class cricket for Auckland in the Plunket Shield season 2017–18 on 9 March 2018.
Allen came into the international spotlight in the 2020-21 Dream11 Super Smash tournament, where he emerged as the main player of the tournament after failing to score in the first few league games. He scored 512 runs at a strike rate of 193 in 11 matches while playing for the Wellington Firebirds.

After delivering some eye-catching performances as a schoolboy, Finn was selected in the New Zealand squad for the 2016 U-19 Cricket World Cup. Subsequently, he captained the New Zealand team in the 2018 U-19 Cricket World Cup and emerged as the top run-scorer for New Zealand in the tournament, scoring 338 runs.
Dream11 Super Smash 2020-21’s phenomenal season as the highest run-getter in the tournament helped Finn Allen earn a place in New Zealand’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their home series against Bangladesh. Finn played his first T20I match for New Zealand on 28 March 2021, against Bangladesh in Hamilton. The wicketkeeper-batsman didn’t have the best start to his international career as he got a first-ball duck in his first match and could only score 17 runs in the next match.
He rose to show just how destructive he was in his third match where he scored 71 runs from 29 deliveries before being dismissed to Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed. His 18-ball 50 was the second-fastest T20I half-century (50 off 18 balls) by a New Zealander in Twenty20 internationals.

Finland unsold in player auction for IPL 2021; however, when one of the RCB picks Josh Philippe pulled out of the tournament due to personal reasons, Finn Allen was included in the RCB squad as a substitute. He receives a base price of Rs. 20 lakh, the amount for which Josh Philippe was sold.
