First pictures of American Airlines flight attendant who was found dead in hotel room with ‘cloth’ in her mouth emerge

The first pictures have emerged of an American Airlines flight attendant who was found “unresponsive with a cloth” in her mouth at a Philadelphia airport hotel, two days after she was supposed to check out.

Diana Ramos, 66, of Las Vegas, was found by cleaning staff at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott on Monday evening and medical officials pronounced her dead around 10:40 p.m., according to police.

Ramos had a “cloth” in his mouth when he was found, Philadelphia Police spokesman Shawn Ritchie confirmed to The Post.

The investigation is ongoing with the Homicide Detective Division and no further details could be released as of Thursday afternoon, police said.

“Everyone is still trying to figure out what happened and why the crew just left him,” an unidentified American Airlines flight attendant told People, revealing that Ramos’ crew was based in Los Angeles.

Ramos was a 25-year veteran of American Airlines and was reportedly on a layover in Philadelphia after working on a flight from Los Angeles when he died, according to the airline.

American Airlines employees are “saddened by this news,” a spokeswoman said in a statement.

“Our thoughts are with the families and colleagues, and we are doing everything we can to ensure all those affected get the support they need during this difficult time,” they added.

“We will continue to cooperate fully with local law enforcement in their investigation.”

Ramos’ body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy, a police spokesman said Wednesday. The decision is still pending.

His cause of death has not been determined, but he “suffered sudden death,” Chief Inspector Scott Small told NBC10.

Her death is being treated as “suspicious” and is being investigated by the police department’s Homicide Detective Division, Small told the outlet.

There were no signs of forced entry or a struggle and no weapons were found in the room, 6ABC reported, citing police sources.

A sealed prescription bottle was found in the room, and investigators said he was on “some medication.”

A Marriott spokeswoman said the company is working with the Philadelphia Police Department and directed further questions to it.
