Fitness trainer Jen Selter likes to keep it up with her Instagram followers… all 14.1 million of them!

After going out to eat, she sometimes shares a photo of “Big Bertha” on her Instagram Stories, affectionately called her bulging belly. Although the 30-year-old fitness trainer is known for her toned abs, she can suffer from bloating and flatulence just like everyone else!

Luckily, she’s shared five healthy hacks to help her followers get rid of bloat and help her fans get back on track in their health journey.

Chia seeds have been making the rounds on TikTok lately. Influencers have been touting chia seeds as a way to help get things moving, which is why she includes a scoop in her Banana Chia De-Bloat Papaya Smoothie. Here is the full list of ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh papaya chunks
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (or milk of your choice)
  • a handful of ice
  • honey or agave nectar to taste (optional)

Jen mixes all the ingredients in her BlendJet and then drinks it. He doesn’t say how long it takes for the smoothie to work, but again, it’s different for everyone.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Jen explained why stretching is important to reduce bloating. “Gentle twists and folds that target your stomach, promoting digestion while releasing tension. Breathe through each stretch for maximum benefit,” he explains. In the video, he starts on a plank before he moves backwards, pulling his knees to his chest.

She also crossed her legs on each side of her body before placing her legs above her head, resting her feet on the side of her balcony (although those at home can only use the wall!) She then took out some coconut oil and used a belly cupper to help massage her belly.

“Treat yourself with a self-massage using clockwise circles to stimulate blood flow, support digestion and reduce discomfort,” she writes. “It’s like a hug for your stomach!” In the video, she also uses her hands to press her stomach in long strokes, as well as rub in circles.

In the video, he picks up two light dumbbells and does push-ups, jack presses, leg raises and bicep curls with shoulder presses to help get his blood pumping. He then went for a walk to help get some steps.

“Getting some movement is a good idea. Activate your metabolism, help eliminate excess water retention, and increase circulation,” she wrote, adding, “Take a walk outside to not only clear your mind but also stimulate your digestive system. Enjoy nature while aiding digestion (win-win).”

He ends the post with a disclaimer that he is not a medical professional and is just sharing tips that have worked for him. “Remember, I’m not a doctor, but these are steps that have worked for me personally,” he wrote. “Each one contributed to my journey toward feeling my best and leaving the bloat behind.”
