Five Florida teenagers have been charged in a violent mob caught-on-video beating a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School – the site of one of the nation’s worst school shootings.
A fifth teenager linked to a violent shooting on Dec. 12 turned himself in at the Coral Springs Police Department on Monday morning — with police still looking for another suspect, WPLG-TV News reported.
Disturbing video first posted by TMZ shows a lone teenager, who has not been identified, attacked by a half-dozen students who repeatedly kick and punch him — until one brutal teenager throws him face first onto the sidewalk.
The victim suffered a fractured skull and other injuries.
Officials at the Parkland school identified the alleged attacker, and police obtained an arrest affidavit on Thursday.
“The safety of our community and schools remains our top priority,” the department said in a press release. “Every day, we have about 50 officers from various specialized units assigned to guard the area around the school during dismissal. In this incident, we had two officers patrolling around North Community Park during dismissal time.”

Meanwhile, Barrington Leefatt, father of suspect Chinua Leeffatt, told the outlet last week that the victim was the one who started the fight by hitting his son first.
“That [victim] innocent, I tell you,” said Leefatt. “He was attacked first. I have a video [of] that. My son is the victim here.”

Former student Nikolas Cruz was sentenced to 17 life sentences last year for the Valentine’s Day massacre.
Police said Cruz stormed the school with an AR-15 assault rifle and opened fire — spraying defenseless victims with bullets and in some cases turning around to finish off the wounded.
On February 15 of this year – the day after the fifth anniversary of the shooting – the school was placed on lockdown after educators received a “suspicious phone call.”
