A woman surprised her husband on their honeymoon to Jamaica after slipping a note to a flight attendant to announce she was recently cancer free.
Toronto local Haley Louvelle, 22, captured the heartwarming moment on social media after a flight attendant delivered a pre-flight briefing to passengers, a video posted to TikTok shows.
Louvelle and her husband were sitting next to each other when she gently held her husband’s arm and placed the phone in front of them just moments before the adorable surprise on Jan. 6.
“A young man on this plane named Josh was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in June 2020. He has since undergone chemo, radiation and surgery to remove his entire right lung, thymus gland, heart lining and part of his diaphragm. ,” the flight attendant said over the intercom.

“He was on life support twice and was in and out of hospital for years. She fought for her life and is now cancer free and on her way to her honeymoon in Jamaica!” the flight attendant continued, prompting the passengers to cheer for Josh before they could be instructed to do so.
“I will say, please join me in giving Josh the biggest round of applause!” the flight attendant joked after realizing everyone was already cheering.
Louvelle revealed to viewers in the caption of the video that she was able to slip a note to the flight attendants asking them to make a surprise announcement for her husband.
The note was not provided in the video, although Louvelle revealed what the letter read in an interview with “People”.
“Hi!!! I wanted to see if there was any chance you could read this over the loudspeaker?” a note provided by People reads. “Maybe near the start of the flight so I can get my phone ready to take a video and make sure we’re not wearing headphones? Thank you!!!”
According to People, Haley shared that her honeymoon with Josh was postponed three times after she was diagnosed in June 2020.

But he was able to beat the cancer, and the two are now off to celebrate on the tropical island of Jamaica for their long-awaited honeymoon.
TikTok users watching the stunning video — now viewed more than 405,000 times — poured into the comments section to show their support.
