Florence Pugh Stands By Sheer Valentino Gown After Showing A Lot On The Red Carpet

Florence Pugh is all about body positivity when it comes to wearing sheer clothes and showing off her body on the red carpet.

The “Oppenheimer” actress not only defended her decision but also felt that people need to embrace and accept their bodies better, talking about the pink Valentino dress she wore a year ago.

When it comes to fashion, Pugh is far from someone who wants to step onto the red carpet in perfect shape. In fact, he’s more than happy to show his imperfections since his style is honest, even if others find him harsh.

In an interview with Elle magazine, Pugh mentioned how she talks “like I do about my body because I’m not trying to hide the cellulite on my thighs or the octopus between my arms and my b–b: I prefer to lay it all out.”

He also felt that some of his scariest moments were when he had “let down” people who had shown “too much”. Pugh was referring to the pink Valentino dress she wore last year, and since she didn’t wear a bra underneath the dress at all, opting to stay away from pasties as well, she put her chest on display for everyone to see. The 27-year-old “Black Widow” actress said, “When everything went wrong with the pink Valentino dress a year ago, my nile showed through a piece of fabric, and it really hurt people.”

He explained that the freedom that women now show with their bodies scares many, going on to say, “The freedom that people fear; the fact is that I am comfortable and happy. Letting women down by commenting on their bodies has worked for a long time…”

“There’s More Than One Reason for a Woman’s Body”

Pugh also feels that mere does not necessarily mean sexual. Said the actor, “I think we’re in a situation right now where a lot of people are saying, ‘I don’t give a–t.’ Unfortunately, we have become so afraid of the human body that we cannot look at my two cute ni–les behind the cloth in a non-sexual way. We need to keep reminding everyone that there is more than one reason for a woman’s body [to exist].”

When she wore the dress, almost a year ago, Pugh was verbally attacked by many men in the public, some of whom dared to complain about her small chest size. But Pugh didn’t let this go, as she took on the “critics” in an IG post, asking them desperately, what’s their problem with her body!

Pugh wrote, “Many of you want to aggressively tell me how upset you are with my ‘t–s’, or how I should be ashamed of being ‘flat-chested’. I have lived in my body for a long time. I am fully aware of the size of my br—t and I am not afraid of it. What is more worrying is…. Why are you so afraid of br—ts? Small? big? Left? Really? Only one? Maybe nothing? What. Do. So. Terrible.”

Of course, since none of the men were able to answer her questions, Pugh repeated another revealing outfit from earlier this year!

The sheer dress can be considered an evolution of Pugh’s style who has always been an outspoken dresser. She likes bold and cheeky colors and weird clothes, and if people are shocked but she’s all the way – so be it.

While the men may not be too happy about her showing off her “small size” chest, all the women Pugh walked past at the Valentino Couture 2022 show in Italy knew she was having fun. Said Pugh, speaking to Elle magazine, “Women are attracted to the fact that I’m really happy. That’s a big aspect of my career and life: accepting who I am, and not running from it.”
