A man who either didn’t stop drinking or wanted to hit the bottle early was caught on camera sneaking into a Florida apartment and stealing materials to make a morning screwdriver.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Department said the unknown intruder entered the secondary door of an apartment around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 — Thanksgiving morning.
Surveillance footage shared by the department shows the liquor thief, wearing a maroon shirt and blue jeans, quietly creak open the door and slip inside.

Moments later, he emerged with a bottle of Florida Native orange juice — about three quarters full — and a holder of Svedka lime vodka in hand, the video shows.
He closed the door carefully behind him and looked around, stumbling at one point before leaving.
Thoughtfully, he also turned off the light before he left.

The total value of the theft was just over $35, police said.
The victims told investigators they rarely used the door the burglar entered and were unsure why it was unlocked.
The man also tried to open the door to the apartment across the hall but it was locked and he left, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police have asked anyone who recognizes the man to contact the sheriff’s office.
