A woman shot to death by her daughter’s father inside a Florida Home Depot did not have the sexually transmitted disease that killed her.
Brooklyn Sims, 18, tested negative for gonorrhea in an STD test taken just days before the murder, prosecutors revealed in court Wednesday — after a jury found her ex Keith Agee guilty of first-degree premeditated murder.
“I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter, but we just want to give Miss Sims some dignity,” Assistant State’s Attorney Bridgette Jensen said after handing the judge a copy of the report.
Agee, 20, pleaded guilty earlier this week to killing the mother of his 2-year-old son while she was working inside a Pensacola Home Depot on Aug. 11.
On the stand, Agee admitted she was furious after contracting an STD after she and Sims were intimate, which she blamed on her own infidelity.
“I said, ‘Hey, you gave me something.’ He said, ‘Not this anymore,’ and turned and walked away from me. I’ve never been so angry in my life,” Agee testified.
“I pulled my gun from my waistband, and I proceeded to shoot Brooklyn.”
Two others were slightly injured.

Agee claimed the shocking slaughter was the hottest option, but texts between him and his mother, Sheila Agee, 50, proved he had carefully planned the attack.
After Agee told her mother she wanted to “just shoot” Sims, Sheila Agee allegedly pleaded with her, telling her that if she didn’t “kill him” she would be a “bitch”.
He then gave her Sims’ location before advising her to “delete” the incriminating text “because I don’t want anyone to know I’m texting you stupid ass,” the exchange showed.

Keith Agee then ended the disturbing conversation by saying that “the thought of him knowing he was f–ked and the remorse on his face would be enough to satisfy me,” according to a text message released by police.
Sheila Agee also faces a charge of first-degree premeditated murder in the case. He is due in court in February.
Brooklyn’s mother, Tiyanna Thomas, shared an emotional message with the judge after Agee’s verdict.
“I don’t hate Mr. Agee,” Thomas said.

“But I can’t forgive him yet. I raised his daughter. That day, Casey lost his mother, his father, and his grandmother.”
Agee was sentenced to life in prison for premeditated murder. He was also charged with aggravated battery, for which a jury found him not guilty.
