A Florida rapper is facing manslaughter charges after he allegedly fatally shot his manager in the middle of the street – a killing caught on shocking security footage, police said.
Kevhani Camilla Hicks, 27, who was with Key Vhani on stage, was filmed shooting her manager multiple times on Oct. 9. in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood after he and another man found her on the street.
In footage obtained by NBC Miami, Hicks is seen getting out of a white car with his manager before the two appear to argue and start hitting each other.
Another man then climbs out the back door and joins the melee against Hicks, and the two end up throwing him to the ground and pinning him there.
After they gave in, Hicks walked away from the couple then suddenly turned and pulled a gun from his bag and opened fire.
His manager dove to the ground and scurried for cover behind a car, but Hicks chased him down the street, continuing to fire until he lay wounded on the ground.

At that point, the second man who had attacked Hicks jumped into their car and pulled out, ramming him and apparently running him over.
He then sped off, and Hicks stood up and ran down the sidewalk out of sight.
Responding police found the manager with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital but later died.
Hicks, who was hospitalized with blunt force injuries, told police that the shooting was an act of self-defense and that he feared for his life.

“The defendant stated he was in fear because of the size of the victim and when he heard the victim scream ‘I’m going to kill you with one punch,'” a police report from the incident read, according to NBC Miami.
A GoFundMe set up for Hicks by a family member apparently claims the two men in the video had “attacked her multiple times.”
The rapper was placed in custody, but is expected to be released after a judge granted a $50,000 bond and house arrest in a recent hearing.
An attorney for Hicks called the incident “a clear case of self-defense.”
