Florida woman arrested for conspiring to create sadistic ‘animal crush’ videos of monkey torture

A Florida woman has been arrested for allegedly conspiring to create and distribute sadistic “animal-crushing” videos, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.

Nicole Devilbiss, 35, faces federal charges because she allegedly oversaw and coordinated a series of group chats on a texting app that circulated videos of primates being mauled and collected payments from members to produce new videos.

Animal cruelty, a perverse fetish some people find sexually arousing, is a federal crime defined as “the actual conduct in which one or more non-human mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians, is intentionally crushed, burned, suffocated, suffocated, impaled or otherwise subjected. to serious bodily injury,” according to the US Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.

Devilbiss was arrested after investigators executed a search warrant at his Jacksonville home on Tuesday, and he allegedly admitted to being part of a group chat titled “Mister Ape,” according to a criminal complaint obtained by First Coast News.

After being shown screenshots from the group’s chat, Devilbiss allegedly admitted to sharing “dozens” of animal-crushing videos and sending payments to groups of between $20 and $40 intending to get the videos funded.

“If you’re going to catch an adult rat then get a rat that has babies. I think most of us like to see babies. Personally, not seeing older rats being messed with,” he wrote in the group, according to the complaint.

He was charged with conspiracy to create and distribute animal cruelty videos.

If convicted, Devilbiss faces up to five years in federal prison.
