Crazy footage has captured the moment a car suddenly skids forward during a parking exercise, before crashing into a concrete barrier and rolling onto a busy beach in front of sunbathers.
Witness Rachel Chappell recalled how she and the crowd were “shocked” at how the green Kia Seltos suddenly ended up on the sands of Balmoral Beach, on Sydney’s north shore, at about 1.15pm on Monday.
The driver, a woman in her 30s, was leaving the parking lot when the green Kia Seltos suddenly sped forward, crashing into a concrete wall and landing near the beachgoers.
Footage shared by 7 News shows the car moving forward as people cross the footpath.

It suddenly slammed into a concrete wall, damaging it and rolling onto its roof, before coming to rest on the sand.
Beachgoers were seen turning and running to get out of the way of the car as it overturned.
The woman was treated for head injuries while another man, in his 50s, was assessed by paramedics.
Both were treated and released.
The woman returned a negative result when she underwent a roadside breath test by the police.
Police said the investigation into the incident is continuing and no charges have been laid.
Acting Inspector Sean Donnelly said the driver was practicing parking when the vehicle suddenly went onto a grassy area and overturned.
“It had gone into the nose and because it had gone through the brickwork, it had flipped onto the roof,” he told reporters on Monday.
“It was a beautiful day and a school holiday with lots of people around, it was very lucky no one was hurt.”
Speaking to 7 News, Chappell said the car must have been going quite fast before it hit the beach.

“It’s a really big mystery — is the accelerator stuck?” he asked.
Witnesses said they initially thought a “bomb” had exploded on the beach, some saw sand flying everywhere following the crash.
One person said the crash happened near a couple sitting on beach chairs and a family in a tent.
“I don’t know how it happened, the road was miles away from the beach and then there were rubbish bins in front of the concrete barrier too, so it was strange,” said the witness.
The crash happened on the first day of school holidays in New South Wales, Australia, which run until October 6.
