Former Connecticut state worker has meltdown at police station, fires rounds at glass

A former Connecticut state employee’s ordeal was captured on police surveillance video of a frustrated woman repeatedly banging her gun on the protective glass at a police department before firing several shots directly into the glass.

According to a press release from the Office of the Inspector General, 51-year-old Suzanne Laprise walked into the Bristol Police Department office at approximately 11:30 pm on October 5 with a gun.

Security video footage captured Laprise walking up to the empty front desk and knocking on the front desk window with his hand before slamming the gun on the glass multiple times.

As the woman continued to knock on the glass, he turned and fired several shots.

Police said the bullet “did not penetrate the bulletproof glass.”

He was also seen firing into the ceiling of the police station.
