Court-appointed attorneys for Duane “Keffe D” Davis told The Associated Press after the hearing that they believe he can post bail. They have asked for bail of no more than $100,000.
Lawyers argued in a court filing a day earlier that their client – not a witness, as prosecutors say – was in danger. And they say that their 60-year-old client is in poor health after a battle with cancer, who is in remission, and that he will not run away to avoid trial.
