One such phase is the former President getting used to his children dating. The former first lady has revealed her husband’s feelings about his girls being “old enough to date.”

Michelle recently sat down with “Good Morning America” in her first television interview ahead of the Nov. 15 release of her new book, “The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times.”
After stating that she and Barack are now “empty nesters,” the mother of two stated that she thinks it’s “beautiful” that her daughter has reached this point. The level in question is Malia and Sasha’s ability to find their partner and explore different relationships. In his words:
“I think it’s great. I want them to know what they want and who they are in a relationship. And that has to try a few people.”
As for her man, Michelle confirmed that she’s “good with him” too, claiming, “Look, they’re 24 and 21. They’re in high school. They’re going to prom. They’ve lived their lives. And he’s learning how to be a caring black father , but not crazy.” The 58-year-old also referred to his children as “grown women.” He said:
“They played great. Proud of them. They survived eight years growing up in one of the harshest spotlights out there. And they’re good, decent, normal young women trying to make an impact in the world, and they’re best friends. Couldn’t ask for anything more.”

The doting mother previously referred to her 24-year-old son and 21-year-old daughter as “remarkable young ladies” during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show in April. Those ages seem a far cry from when they first appeared on the show before their father became POTUS, according to The Blast.
The girls, who were ten and eight at the time, were there to see The Jonas Brothers, whom they loved very much. Michelle went on to reveal that the young women have moved past the “pop band” stage as they are now bringing grown men home. According to him:
“Now they have boyfriends and real lives and all that stuff, but they’ve grown up before our eyes, and they’re doing great.”
The host was happy that Sasha and Malia had used the training that he and Barack had instilled in them. In other words, Michelle is very happy that her teachings helped her children adjust to the real world after leaving the White House in 2017.
The Obama Girls Are Living Their Best Love Lives
In April, The Blast shed light on Sasha’s burgeoning relationship with the son of “Ray” actor Clifton Powell. The young man was seen out and about with his girlfriend wearing a white t-shirt, casual pants, white shoes and a face covering.

Sasha also casually wears a purple skirt accompanied by a dark purple tank top that reveals her toned stomach. Their public appearance led to several questions from Obama fans about Clinton Jr., and what he was up to.
Turns out, the 24-year-old was a star basketball player during his college days, now serving as a commercial director at Nike and Peloton. The sons of the “Friday After Next” actor are nicknamed ‘Cliff’ and ‘CP3.’
He enjoyed a white-collar upbringing, being educated at the Village Christian High School. Cliff and Sasha met when Sasha moved to Los Angeles in August 2021, following her transfer from the University of Michigan to the University of Southern California.
As for her sister, Malia is enjoying her love life with Dawit Eklund, who is nine years older than her. According to another report from The Blast, Eklund and the first daughter made three public appearances in nine days in August.
One such excursion involves a visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. While the Ethiopian music producer wore a nude shirt and a pair of green Bob Marley graphic shorts, his 24-year-old son wore a white crop top revealing his toned stomach over baggy green pants.
