A former US Women’s National Football League player was filmed allegedly giving a Nazi salute to pro-Israel protesters in Los Angeles.

“Shame on you,” protesters at the Beverly Hills rally shouted at him.
It is unclear what happened before the recording began.
Behind the wheel was another professional soccer player — identified by the group as Samim Haydari.
Ferrer Van Ginkel, a 25-year-old Brazilian, is playing in Angel City FC’s inaugural season in 2022, KTLA reports. His contract was not renewed at the end of the year.

The football club condemned the actions of its former player in a statement.
“Stefany Ferrer Van Ginkel does not play for Angel City Soccer Club, nor has she been affiliated with the club since November 2022. We condemn her recent actions and statements,” the team said.
The two footballers released video apologies on social media late on Monday.
“I know we have approached the situation with hatred and made it worse with our actions,” Haydari said in the clip. “We acted childishly… All we can do is be better [and] learn from this. We cannot change the past.”
Ferrer Van Ginkel does not speak in the video.
Haydari was last listed as a player with United City FC, a development team, in 2022, according to KTLA.
