A video that went viral over the summer has taken 7-year-old Tariq, also known on the Internet as Corn Kid, to a place he probably never imagined. What started as a simple conversation about corn on the cob and why it’s his favorite food, led him to a “Saturday Night Live” skit on the season premiere of season 48. Although Tariq isn’t actually on “SNL,” newcomer to the show, Devon Walker played the role of the Corn Kid in the skit. Tariq’s official TikTok page posted the clip and captioned it, “GASPPPP me on SNL 😱.”

Appearing On “SNL” Was A “Corntastic” Moment For Tariq
Tariq’s followers are excited to see him cast in the hit comedy show. An Interview About Corn Leads To Many Adventures For Tariq
Tariq’s rise to Internet fame all started when he was asked about his favorite vegetable in an episode of “Recess Therapy.” His enthusiastic interview quickly went viral which led to a second interview, a song, a Cameo account, and many “corntastic” adventures for New York City second graders. In addition to being recognized by “SNL,” “The Drew Barrymore Show” also gave Tariq a moment in the spotlight. Not only did Barrymore gift Tariq on the show with trying corn-flavored things, she also gifted him with a $5,000 shopping spree at famous New York City toy store FAO Schwarz.

Tariq’s Summer Adventures Are All Memorable And Exciting
Tariq also had a memorable time visiting the Corn Palace and while there, was named the “Corn-Bassador” of South Dakota. The fun of “impressing the corn” didn’t end there for Tariq. He also had the opportunity to visit the Empire State Building with “Recess Therapy”, as well as walk the red carpet at the “Pinocchio” premiere. And don’t forget about his day at the American Dream in New Jersey where he got to meet and video MrBeast at the grand opening of MrBeast Burger, as well as spend the day riding rides and meeting another of his favorite yellow things – Spongebob Squarepants.
