Gabby Windey On If She Sees Herself Marrying Robby Hoffman

Gabby Windey shocked fans after she announced that she is gay, and is currently dating girlfriend Robby Hoffman.

“I’ve always wanted to live my truth, and my story,” the former “Bachelor” star said on “The View.” “So I’ve been seeing someone for a few months, and I’ve kept it a secret because it’s like a bigger story and a bigger conversation, because I’m dating a girl!”

The couple has been together for about five months now, and Windey is starting to see a future with Hoffman.

The former “Bachelor” host appeared on an episode of the “Just B with Bethenny Frankel” podcast, where she opened up about her current relationship, and if she could see herself marrying Robby Hoffman.

“Yes,” said Windey wanting to tie the knot with Hoffman. “Yes, just once!”

“I think it’s another way for us to commit to each other,” he continued. “Perhaps my views will change; I don’t really have a political view on it.”

Recalling how their relationship began, Windey explained, “He asked me to be his girlfriend with Ring-Pop two weeks in … We celebrated [our anniversary] every month, but if a guy does that to me, disgusting! I would say, ‘Don’t act like that.’”

The ICU nurse recently opened up about how her story was told through editing on reality television, and how she now wants to tell her story in her own words. “Because of what I’ve been through in the public eye, from ‘The Bachelor’ to ‘The Bachelorette,’ I’ve learned that your story is really told for you through editing, so now I want to be able to tell it myself,” she said according to Glamour. “It’s quite taboo for people to go out today, but there’s a fear about that. And I want to talk about my life openly. That’s how people know me. But I don’t think I realized how good this open feeling was.”

Windey went on to explain how something “sparked” in him after he watched “Perfect Match” on Netflix. On the show, there was an openly bi, lesbian storyline between two contestants, which Windey said “triggered something in her”.

“Something in me could relate, and I thought, Maybe I should explore this,” Windey said. “I’m 32 years old, and I’ve been through a lot, just like everyone else. We all just want to be loved at the end of the day, have a relationship and feel supported. So when I returned to Los Angeles in March after the Dancing With the Stars tour, I went on a date with a woman I met on the app, Raya. I still state on my profile that I’m interested in men and women, but I’m not really seeing men. Everyone knew me as the Bachelorette and dated a few guys, but I knew if this was something that was true for me, I had to go with it.

She said she is very happy in her current relationship and doesn’t see herself dating anyone else. “I don’t think I’ll ever date a guy again,” she said according to Glamour. “I feel very emotionally connected to my girlfriend and that’s the most important thing to me.”
