While Gabi Elnicki may not have won Zach Shallcross’s heart, she did win America’s heart.
During the “Bachelor” finale, Elnicki apparently knew Shallcross would choose his other final girl, Kaity Biggar, because as he stepped out of the limo into a pile of mud, he turned to the camera crew and limo driver and said, “When it matters, when Kaity arrives, don’t do that to her.”
In the end, Elnicki is right, and Shallcross chooses Biggar to be his final lady, gets down on one knee and proposes to her, leaving Elnicki heartbroken.
Now that the season is over, the Texan is still open to finding love, but will he find it on the beach during “Bachelor In Paradise”?

Looking ahead to the future, Elnicki still wants to find the one. “Obviously, I still want to find love, and I still want my people,” she told host Joe Amabile during a recent episode of the “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation” podcast.
However, when looking at the possibility of finding one on the beach during “Bachelor In Paradise,” he replied, “I’m not sure.”
“You know, I think there’s a part of me that still needs to be healed,” she admitted after her breakup with Zach Shallcross. “But just because I’m healing and just because there’s a part of me that I don’t love and I haven’t fully loved, I mean, I don’t deserve love.”
When talking about being a potential “Bachelorette” before Charity Lawson was announced as the next lead, Elnicki said, “I think I could do it, but I think it might take a toll on me emotionally.”

During the “Bachelor” finale, Gabi Elnicki seemed to know Zach Shallcross would pick Kaity Biggar because as she stepped out of the limo into a pile of mud, she turned to the camera crew and the limo driver and said, “When it matters, when Kaity arrives, don’t do that to her.”
After the finale aired, Elnicki talked about why she decided to stay on the show until the end despite knowing it was Kaity Biggar all along — saying she did it for Biggar.
“I do not want [Kaity] to feel any kind of doubt when [Zach] proposed to her, and she saw it all back,” Elnicki said.
“In that rose ceremony when he was just talking to Kaity, and he wasn’t making eye contact with me, it was an isolating feeling,” she explained. “And at that moment, I knew it wasn’t me because anyone who loved me and wanted it to be me wouldn’t talk about something that was a special moment like that.”
Biggar and Elnicki have become very close friends despite dating the same guy. However, many are wondering if the two will remain friends now that Biggar is engaged to Shallcross, and Shallcross admitted to having sex with Elnicki during Fantasy Suite week.
When Biggar was asked this question on the “Here for the Right Reasons” podcast, he said he and fellow contestant Gabi Elnicki would remain friends. “Oh yeah!” he exclaimed. “We’ve already traveled together! We’ve been to Florida. A lot of girls came to Austin for the premiere.”
She and Elnicki, along with Ariel Frenkel, who finished third this season, and two other “The Bachelor” 27 contestants — Jess Girod and Mercedes Northup — all plan to visit Miami, Florida together for a girl’s trip at the end of April.
“We’re all very tight,” he said on the podcast. “I have a very good relationship with a few girls, but I would say the closest to me that I can foresee being at the wedding is definitely Ariel.”
“He is a big supporter and has always been there for me throughout this,” he continued. “Gabi, he and I are very good friends. And Jess and Mercedes, for sure. They are my girls.”
