Career
Born and married in a small village, he started working in the fields. He works as a porter and rolls beedis for income. In an interview, he said,
Before all I knew working hard in the fields, plowing, mowing the lawn, and taking care of my family. At one point, I also started doing porter work and rolling beedis for a decent income.”

His son-in-law Srikanth Sriram; a filmmaker, started a YouTube channel, ‘My Village Show’ in 2012.

He used to upload videos related to village culture and the daily routine of rural families. When Srikanth was looking for an old lady for his YouTube video, he asked Gangavva to act in his video.

After that, I rarely watched any movies. I am a farmer and do not own a television set. Now I live with Srikanth, I watch movies now and then.
